“QBeez2” is a cute, pretty easy-to-play game (at least in the easy mode). This game turns you into a colored cube, with a smiley face on it. You have to choose a name and a color of your character when you first enter the game.
The game is pretty simple to play, and the screen is very clear. When you start playing, a board composed of cubes is displayed. More than a board it looks like a pile of them. All you have to do is to identify and call groups of cubes of the same color. To be a group there has to be at least two cubes of the same color. The bigger the group of cubes (QBeez), the higher is your score. If you’re stuck and don’t know what to do you can try the “special moves”. You can shuffle the QBeez or rotate the entire board. You have three special movements per level.
The time is measured using a water column which fills up while you play. When it reaches the top the game is over.
A really cool feature of this game is that you can create your own puzzles to play. That’s not all, you can even use a photograph you like from which the game will create a puzzle. If you don’t feel creative don’t worry. The game includes a lot of puzzles pre-created. You can manage and choose the puzzles to play from the “Puzzles” section.
Before you start playing you can set some options:
1. Game Mode:
a. Time challenge.
b. Points challenge.
c. Gigantic time.
d. Gigantic points.
2. Mixed Mode:
a. Today’s game.
b. Random mixup.
3. Levels: 3, 5, 10 and Infinite.
4. Skill level: Easy, Normal, Pro.
When you first enter the game, you’ll see the welcome screen with the following options on it:
- Change Player: after you create one or more players, they’ll be saved. When you enter into this submenu, you’ll be asked for a name as a new player. It’s possible to have a list of different players and record their performance. This way, you can play home tournaments with family and friends.
- Classic: this option leads you to the first level of the game and you’ll be previously seeing a settings screen.
- Puzzles: the section of the game from where you can manage your puzzles.
- Options: this is the menu from which you can set some game options like, sound volume, music volume, and full screen.
- Puzzle maker: to create your own puzzles.
- High Scores and Exit: no further explanation required.
You can try this game for 60 minutes before you buy the licensed version. If you like it, you can buy this game for only 19.95 dollars, right from the Oberon Media Game Center, on the Web.
